Powercoders Focus Weeks 2024.1 are starting on June 3rd, and we’re getting ready to teach the Applied Software Testing course for the fourth time! Here’s the (provisional) schedule.
The Swiss Testing Board (STB) partnered with Powercoders in 2021 to provide an ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) course for the Testing Focus Track. However, the certification course proved to be a poor fit for most participants. With little to no work experience in software development projects, they found studying for the exam a long hard grind that left virtually no time for putting the knowledge they acquired into practice.
Mid-2022, after teaching the CTFL course for the third time, Sharol was convinced that a learning path with more hands-on practice was needed to adequately prepare participants for their upcoming internships. She offered to design a new course to fill that gap, and worked with Michal to write the Applied Software Testing course syllabus.
